PACSONE is running on a Windows Server 2003 platform. This server has been up and running for about 3.5 years. Upgraded once about a year ago to 6.1.1. Image archive is to a 4 TByte RAID 5 array located within this same server.
I have added additional storage to our network via a RAID 5 array on a seperate server running Windows 2003 Server. This space will be used to store images for PACSONE, as the original 4 Tbyte array has been exhausted.
When I try to change the archive directory for any of my modalities, I get an error saying that the drive does not exist.
I have the user manual and have reviewed the previous posts here to determine the correct syntax. I am using Windows UNC as follows:
\\server2\raid2
This is the error that I get:
Archive Directory \\\\server2\\raid2 Does Not Exist!
I have tried this with the drive mapped and without mapping, because of the wording in the manual. Same error. I have set up permissions, but am limited in ways to test it. From the PACSONE server, I can create a Wordpad document and save it to the new network drive. I can also open that same document and modify it.
Am I missing something?

It seems you may have the PHP magic quotes enabled from the following error message:
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
Save the file then restart Apache for the change to take effect.

Thanks again. I found a page that has options for logging on as either "Local System Account" or "This Account". It was previously set to "Local System Account". When I changed it to "This account", using a user profile previously created called "Apache", it errored, saying it could not start the service.
I am not very savy when it comes to setting up these accounts, and users, and objects, and such in Windows Server 2003. Sorry.

There appears to be no other reason for the extra '\' character appended automatically to the shared-network path you entered, e.g.,
\\\\server2\\raid2

It seems to be a mystery then about how the "\\server2\raid2" UNC path you entered into your browser turned into "\\\\server2\\raid2" after PHP reads it from the http POST variable, while the PHP magic quotes seem to be disabled.
1. What's the version of PacsOne Server are you running on this server?
2. The PHP 5.0.5 version you installed on this server seems to be quite out of date. Is it possible for you to upgrade it to the latest version of PHP 5.2.x (5.2.10) instead?

Again, to clarify. I cannot access any network drives from within PACSONE. They all come back with the same error.
I have tried to point the archive directory at the originally intended directory on my NAS, at folders already shared on the network on an XP machine, and a newly created folder on the HDDs that are used for the operating system on the recently added NAS.
Same error each time.

I mapped the RAID5 array on the new server to the original server and was able to access that drive without problems, from the original server. I create a Wordpad document and saved it to that directory. I was able to open it again and make changes and save it again. So, yes, I can map a drive in that direction.
I don't have anything shared on the original server to try to map to the new server, but if it would help, I can try that.
