Need to Move Image Files on PACSONE Server

Post by hyounker » Fri Oct 09, 2009 12:46 pm

I am running PACSONE on a MS 2003 Server with the operating system and PACSONE running on a RAID 1 array and with a 4 terabyte RAID 5 array for image storage. I have directed PACSONE to store images on the RAID 5 array, the "E:" drive. Somehow, some of the images sent to PACSONE were stored on the RAID 1 array, the "C:" drive. I can query PACSONE for images stored on either array without problem.

I would like to move the images currently on the C: drive over to the E: drive. How do I do this without confusing PACSONE as to the location of these images? Can I simply copy the folders over to the E: drive and import into PACSONE, and then delete the original folders from C: ? I don't want to cause problems with PACSONE generating errors when it is unable to find the original folders.

Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can copy the raw Dicom images currently stored in "C:/" into a folder in "E:/", e.g., from "C:/Archive/" to "E:/Archive/", then run an Import job from the folder in "E:/Archive/" to have PacsOne update its database table meta-records to link to their new paths under "E:/Archive/".
