resolving duplicate patient ids
When I recieve images from e film for patient A with a id of 123456. a few days later patient A has a new series taken with the same id patient name entered the same. pacsone says that it is a duplicate patient. Why is this they are different studies? how can i get pacsone to just add the new images to the patients current file, with out telling me it is a duplicate study.
The names may appear to be the same to human eyes, since PacsOne removes the Dicom field delimiter ^ before displaying the names.
The best way to find out how the names are encoded is to click on the More Information URL link from the Patients page, where a list of the patients is displayed. From the detailed information displayed for the patient, you can check the firstname, lastname and middlename shown for that patient, and compare those with the one PacsOne flagged as a duplicate.

This sounds like a bug.
Can you send us a sample image of both the existing patient and the duplicate? You can use the <Download> button to download a sample image into a zip file from the Image Thumbnails page, download 2 samples from both the original and the duplicate, and send the zip files to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net.
