License.dat file missing after fresh install on Ubuntu

Post by nwhiteley » Wed May 11, 2011 6:45 pm

Having just spent the best part of two days trying to get this installed on Ubuntu I finally managed it only to find that the license file is missing.

How do I get a license file?

P.S. Just a recommendation but the installation instructions are really not suitable for installation on the latest version of Ubuntu. They really need re-writing.

Did you by any chance un-install PacsOne Server? If so, then the trial license will be removed by the un-install but it will not be re-created again even if you re-install PacsOne Server (to prevent endless trials).

In any case, we can send you a new trial license for your server if you could send the output text of the following command run from a local shell on your server to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net:

Code: Select all

$ uname -a;/sbin/ifconfig
Please also send us any comments or suggestions you have about the installation procedure for Ubuntu.

Yes I did un-install. More than once.

I sent the request for a new license file and received it within an hour so thank you for that.

I'll see if I can find time to send some suggestions re the install on Ubuntu.
