This feature is very useful.
However, It gives results for all studies in the DB regardless of whether logged in user should have access to the said studies or not.
In case user has download rights, they are able to download any report saved on the system. It is said that access to reports should probably be as restricted or more restricted than the images because many more people can make sense of the report as compared to images which would need a higher level of expertise.
Even without download rights, access to the full list of studies on the DB may not be desirable in some instances.
Suggestion: User should only see reports to studies they have access to. Additionally, for my situation, having a PID as one of the columns would be helpful.
This test was done on version 6.3.7. PDF Notes are added by reporting via MediView Web
Thanks.
Search by Study Notes Issue
Re: Search by Study Notes Issue
What version of PacsOne Server are you running?
PacsOne Server does limit the matching studies displayed in the Study Search Results page to the following accessible studies:
All public studies
All studies, if the current user has the 'View Private' privilege enabled
Private studies with either a matching Referring Physician's Name or Reading Physician's Name

Re: Search by Study Notes Issue
Thanks for your reply.
I am aware of those conditions.
However, they do not seem to apply when searching by study notes.
It seems any study in the database that has got a study note matching the filters in the search is returned, regardless of whether user should have access to them or not.
As mentioned in my previous post, I am using Pacsone 6.3.7.
Regards.

Re: Search by Study Notes Issue
This is confirmed to be a bug in PacsOne Server where the same limiting criteria above were not applied to the Study Notes Research Results page. We'll fix this bug for the next release (6.4.6) of PacsOne Server.
If you need the fixes for your current version, please send the version of PacsOne Server you are running to: mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net, so that we can send you a patched PHP script for that version which contains the fixes for this bug.

Re: Search by Study Notes Issue
Thanks,
I will send you a mail.
Also, if possible, remember the other suggestions for adding another column in the search results by notes e.g PID.
May also add institution in the filters.
