PHP 5.5.x release + Apache 2.4 64-bit version If I understand the documentation, the Image Magick extension require the non-thread-safe version of PHP. However, there is no non-thread-safe PHP support for Apache under Windows: http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=5026 So it looks like a PHP 5...

Best supported packages on Windows 2012
Hi All,
Does anyone have a recommendation for best packages for a smooth install on Win 2012?
IIS w/ PHP or Apache w/ PHP?
PHP 5.4 or PHP 5.5?
Thanks for the feedback.

Case study: HA cluster on W2K3 for Teleradiology Practice
Because of the central role a PACS holds in the architecture of a DICOM network, designing a High Availability solution for PacsOne has been on our wish list for a long time. We've been deploying PacsOne in various production environments for the past couple of years, and in nearly all cases, the PA...

PacsOne on W2K3 cluster: MySQL failover or backup?
We are in the process of designing a High Availability PACS solution using PacsOne on a 2-node Windows 2003 server cluster attached to a shared SCSI storage. The goal is to provide not only hardware failover, but also automated application failover for PacsOne, MySQL and possibly Apache. Under Windo...

It seems that MySQL 5.0.51a has stability issues on 10.5. The points you bring up are all good and valid and are covered. My XAMPP-installed MySQL actually starts up fine, with the socket created in the right directory etc, and initially I had a fully functional PacsOne/XAMPP system. But lately the ...

I second that. Following Stephan's recommendations, I abandonned the stock Apache/PHP and installed XAMPP instead. The install was a breeze in comparison, and the Image Magick extension loaded immediately. I have a question for Stephan, though: How do you get XAMPP to start at boot with 10.5? I've r...

I have the same issue on a Mac Mini (32-bit). From my web searching, it seems as if the pre-installed Apache/PHP packages are compiled for 64-bit architecture, while running on either processor. So, unless imagick.so is compiled as a 64-bit module, it is bound to clash with the Mac 10.5-provided Apa...

Yes, the MySQL install worked just fine. I ended up reinstalling Windows and repartitionning the RAID array with a more usual lettering scheme with C:\ as system volume, and D:\ as archiving volume. After reinstalling everything from scratch, it seems to be running smoothly now. This is odd, but I g...

PacsOne fails to connect to MySQL
I installed PacsOne on a WinXP Pro test box with a RAID 5 array, initially with PHP 5.1.2 and MySQL 4.1.18, but eventually downgraded to PHP 5.0.0 and MySQL 4.1.7. The system drive happens to be F:\ because of the RAID config, while C:\ is some smart card reader (now disabled), and this has caused m...

Compressed transfer of images between PacsOne servers
It would be nice to save bandwith with transferring images from one PacsOne setup to another using some lossless compression scheme.
